We partnered on this project with MJ Electrical & Mechanical to install 10 Daikin VRV5 R32 systems comprising 73 Ducted fan coils over 5 floors, 2 x AHU DX systems for the fresh air system and R32 split systems within the UPS room. As the project was in Central London it was quite difficult to manage due to the logistics of working in London, the system had localised controllers at each fan coil alongside Daikin i-Manager centralised controllers for each system on the 5 floors to allow for multiple occupancy tenants if required and linked via BACnet gateway interfaces to the BMS system. This was the first VRV5 R32 system that we had installed which was a steep learning curve for all involved in the project as the VRV5 systems has a built in R32 leak detection system, due to good quality project management by Tim Johnson of RS Air Conditioning Services the issues were overcome and our client and the end users were completely satisfied once final commissioning had been carried out.
